The Minor Prophets Bible Studies

Bible study is an ongoing fascination, and rightly so, for the enthusiastic Christian. Once someone has been introduced to the Lord, then it is right and proper that they should aspire to know as much about Him as they can. To know Him is to love Him, and the deeper the knowledge, then the deeper the love grows as the individual is made aware of the Love of God and the sacrifice that He has made.

This course of bible studies based around the 12 Minor Prophets of the bible, is a course that the author himself led a home group class through, and was developed as an introductory course on the Minor Prophets. There are many in-depth studies of the bible available today, in every discipline in both Old and New Testament – these studies are not designed to compete with these Tomes; but rather offer an insight into the world of the Minor Prophets in order that we may come to a better understanding of the books, and their relevance in today’s world, through debate and the sharing of knowledge.

There are those that think a study of the Old Testament Minor prophets in particular, is perhaps a little unproductive; and they would rather study matters closer to hand so to speak. This is however a fallacy that will be revealed with even a cursory glance at the contents of the Minor Prophets books. The problems that early man faced in the centuries leading up to the present day, are no different than the ones we still face; as the writer of Ecclesiastes says ‘there is nothing new under the sun.’

Yes technology has moved on, but the heart of man remains firmly where it is; rooted in lust and desire for everything that does not belong to him!
